An inverter charger is found on practically every RV, trailer, motorhome, truck camper, etc these days.  Inverters R Us carries a full line of power inverter chargers, including those manufactured by: Aims, Go Power!, KISAE, Magnum Energy, Samlex America, Spartan Power, Tripp Lite and Xantrex.

Inverter chargers typically have a built in transfer switch that will sense when you are plugged into an AC source such as shore power or a generator.  When AC is recognized by the inverter charger, the unit will act as a pass through, power your devices from the AC source and also charge the batteries if desired.  When the inverter charger detects a loss of AC, the unit will switch over to invert or DC mode and power your devices off of the batteries that the power inverter has been charging.
